Kennedy Van der Laan most innovative law firm
Kennedy Van der Laan has been proclaimed the most innovative law
firm of the Netherlands on 26 March 2010, during the annual award
of the Golden Hourglasses, the award for lawyers and law firms.
Kennedy Van der Laan had been nominated for the award because of
the
Portal 2C project. Portal 2C, a wing in our
office building, houses both innovative businesses and employees
of our office. This way we want to encourage collaboration and
stimulate the innovative powers of our office. Another reason
for the nomination was formed by the initiatives in which we
combine pure lawyers' work with the offering of standard
solutions for simpler problems. In this respect we are
collaborating, for instance, with
Barentz, a
party from the food and beverage industry. While Barentz mainly
brings in product knowledge, Kennedy Van der Laan mainly brings
in legal knowledge. Together we have realized
FQS, a
web-based expertise center for quality and regulations aimed at
the food and beverage industry.
Innovation has always been an important element of Kennedy Van
der Laan's strategy. During the past years, under the authority
of Richard Klatten, former managing partner of our office, Kennedy
Van der Laan has worked hard to further increase our innovative
capacities. This is exactly why we are very proud of this
award.
