New Managing Director and New Management Board for Kennedy Van der Laan
Press release
AMSTERDAM, 1 February 2010 - On 1 February Cécile Schobben (42)
starts as the new Managing Director and member of the Management
Board of Kennedy Van der Laan. Casper Schouten (49), a partner in
the Real Property and Construction Law practice group, already
joined the Management Board on 1 January 2010.
Previously Cécile Schobben held a variety of positions in
business development, strategy and innovation at Wolters Kluwer and
worked at ABN AMRO Bank. Her appointment is in line with the
strategy of Kennedy Van der Laan, which is based on the pillars of
innovation and intensified cooperation within the law firm as well
as with clients and external parties. In 2009 this strategy was
already revealed by the opening of Portal 2C, an open wing of the
office that accommodates both innovative businesses and staff of
Kennedy Van der Laan (click

Ever since the incorporation of Kennedy Van der Laan social
involvement has been high on its priority list, which is also in
line with Cécile's career: in the past years she held various
ancillary jobs in the community, including the membership of the
Supervisory Board of LSG-Rentray, one of the largest organisations
in the field of youth care in the Netherlands.
On 1 January 2010 Casper Schouten also joined the management
board of Kennedy Van der Laan as Alfred Meijboom's successor.
Casper has been a partner in the Real Estate and Construction Law
practice group of Kennedy Van der Laan since 2001. He is also a
deputy justice of the Court of Haarlem.
As of 1 February 2010, Casper Schouten and Cécile Schobben,
together with managing partner Joost Linnemann who has been
reappointed, will form the Management Board of Kennedy Van der
Laan.
