Eylard van Fenema

Eylard van Fenema joined Kennedy Van der Laan in 2008 and is specialised in employment law. Before that he studied Dutch law and International law at the University of Amsterdam and at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. During his studies he was a member of the boards of various organizations, including the International Student Network.

Eylard engages in all aspects of employment law, including the drafting and assessing of contracts of employment and contracts for services, collective and individual dismissals, and outsourcing/transfer of undertaking. He works for national and international clients, both employers and employees. He also specializes in civil servants law and social security law.

Within the field of civil servants law, Eylard litigates and advises in cases regarding dismissals, disciplinary measures and other matters relating to legal position. The clients he represents include judges and public prosecutors. Eylard is part of the civil servants law team of Kennedy Van der Laan.

Eylard's practice in social security law mainly deals with the rights and obligations in the event of incapacity for work during and after the end of employment. He represents both employers and employees in this respect. Every two months he keeps track of case law and literature in this field in the employment-law journal TAP.

Eylard is a member of the Civil Servants and Law Association and the Employment Law Association. Eylard is also a board member of the Westerpark Children's Farm Association, engaging in, inter alia, human resources policy.
