Reindert van der Zaal
Reindert van der Zaal studied law at Leiden University and at
the Uppsala University in Sweden. He specialized in intellectual
property law and wrote his master's thesis on trademark
law.
Reindert joined Kennedy Van der Laan in 2008. His practice
covers all aspects of intellectual property law, advertising law
and media law. Reindert focuses on copyright law, trademark law and
media law. He inter alia acts on behalf of film producers, artists,
writers, internet providers as well as several media.
Furthermore, he advices and litigates in various illegal
parallel- and counterfeit cases.
Besides that, Reindert is part of the
‘French Desk’ of Kennedy Van der Laan, and
he’s editor-in-chief of media law blog
‘Media
Report’.
In his spare time Reindert plays soccer and actively practices
water and winter sports. He also likes cooking, art and travelling.
