Tessel Peijnenburg

Tessel joined Kennedy Van der Laan in 2011. She advises and litigates in the field of Intellectual Property and Media law.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in law and a LLM in civil law from the University of Groningen. She earned a second LLM in Information law from the University of Amsterdam.

During her studies she worked both in a general and a specialist legal advice center, she did a traineeship at an American law firm in Washington D.C., and studied at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Tessel wrote her first master’s thesis on moral rights in copyright law and her second thesis on the problems with orphan works.

Tessel likes horse-riding, dancing and snowboarding.
