Annemieke van der Beek
Annemieke van der Beek studied Dutch and international law at
the University of Leiden, graduating in 1984. In 1985 she was
awarded a post-doctoral degree in European law from the University
of Paris. She also worked as conseiller juridique for European
law at a leading law firm in Paris.
Annemieke specializes in EU and competition law and has
particular expertise regarding mergers and joint ventures, dominant
market position, co-operation and licence agreements,
and sale and purchase agreements.
Furthermore she has expert knowledge of state aid, public
procurement, subcontracting and free movement of goods
and services and proceedings against the Dutch Competition
Authority and European Commission.
She has broad experience in the financial, health, transport, and
IT sectors.
Furthermore, Annemieke advises undertakings with a dominant
position on their commercial strategy and has experience with the
setting up of complex strategic alliances in the financial and
health sector.
Annemieke publishes and lectures regularly and frequently gives
training courses in competition law to in-house legal teams of
Kennedy Van der Laan clients.
