Chris van Dijk
Chris van Dijk specializes in insurance and liability law. He
specializes inter alia in employers', professional and
product liability and large material damages.
Besides being a practicing lawyer, Chris is also an author and
editor for several professional publications. He publishes on a
wide range of topics of liability and insurance law in several
Dutch journals.
Furthermore he gives lectures about a wide range of liability
problems, such as professional, supervisors', employers'
and product liability, as well as the liability of financial
service providers. One of the topics of these lectures is personal
injury; others are insurance, causality, extent of damage and
limitation. The lectures are given at, inter alia, the
Stichting Studiecentrum Rechterlijke macht (Training and Study
Centre for the Judiciary), University of Amsterdam VU, University
of Groningen, Elsevier, Kluwer, the Personal Injury Foundation of
the Institution of Insurers, and the Grotius Academy.
Chris is a deputy judge in the Court of The Hague and deputy
justice in the Court of Appeal of Arnhem.
