Frits van der Woude

Frits van der Woude has made a career in the insurance sector, where he had several legal positions. Before switching to the legal profession, he worked as an advisor to law firms, civil law notaries and accounting firms operating nationally and internationally. He was responsible, amongst other things, for the handling of claims and the advising on professional liability aspects of the (international) larger law firms and accounting firms.


He has been in practice as an attorney since 2003. Before becoming partner at Kennedy Van der Laan, he worked for a large law firm in Amsterdam for five years. His practice includes Insurance law, Supervisory legislation on insurances, the drafting and development of (international) terms and conditions of insurance and the handling of professional liability issues.


Frits is co-writer of the Global Guide "Directors' Liability and Indemnification". He has an extensive litigation and advisory practice and his clients include national and international insurance companies and intermediaries.
