Jan Schouten - Civil Law Notary
Jan Schouten is partner Corporate Transactions and civil law
notary at Kennedy Van der Laan. Jan studied law at the Università
degli Studi di Pavia in Italy and notarial law at Leiden
University. He joined Kennedy Van der Laan in 2006 and was
appointed civil law notary in December 2010. Jan has more than
fifteen years of experience in notarial corporate law. In his
practice he advises Dutch and foreign companies and banks with
regard to cross-border reorganizations, acquisitions, investments,
joint ventures, securities, shareholder structures and corporate
governance.
Ever since he studied for one year in Pavia, Jan has a passion
for all things Italian. He loves Puccini's operas as well as
Piemonte wines. Jan is a member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce
for the Netherlands. He mans the Italian desk of Kennedy Van der
Laan and regularly offers advice to Italian clients.
