Otto Volgenant
Otto has been with Kennedy Van der Laan since 1993. His practice
focuses on advising clients on the legal aspects of intellectual
property, new media and e-commerce, as well as on drafting complex
contracts and conducting legal proceedings. His special areas of
interest are freedom of speech and press, database law and
copyright law. Otto is board member of the Netherlands Media and
Communication Law Association.
Otto teaches courses on copyright and e-commerce and speaks and
writes regularly on copyright, electronic publishing, e-commerce
and internet.
Otto is a man of many talents. He plays the electric guitar,
also in the Kennedy Van der Laan house band. He plays tennis, he
regularly cruises the Amsterdam canals in his sustainable,
electrical ZuidWesterSloep.
In the future he'll cruise with his daughter Micky and his son
Jesper, who were born in 2006 and 2007. Within Kennedy Van der
Laan, Otto is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program
committee.
